Body Hair

  • Be sure to shave shortly before your session to ensure a close shave but avoid razor burn. This ensures avoiding a five o’clock shadow.
  • Guys should bring a comb or brush and some hair gel and hairspray.
  • Do not wear a baseball cap to the shoot. If you want some of your photos with you hat on, we will save those shots for last. Back to Top

Sun Exposure

  • Please avoid heavy sun exposure a few days before your session. Sunburns and peeling noses cannot be retouched. Back to Top

Glasses

  • People who wear glasses will probably want to do so in their portraits, because eyeglasses are a part of an individuals' personality. But you may want to consider some pictures with and some pictures without your glasses. Remember It is a personal decision as to whether or not you chose to wear glasses for your portrait.
  • Some of the glare, should it occur, can be corrected.
  • Consider bringing simple non-prescription glasses or remove the lenses completely, if your glasses tend to create distortion on your face. Certain prescriptions can also make the size or shape of your eyes appear distorted.
  • Tinted glasses will photograph slightly darker than they appear in real life, and may cause uncorrectable shadowing that ruins a great photo.
  • It is very difficult to remove some glare once a photo is produced so it may be best to avoid it entirely by removing your glasses.
  • If wearing frames without lenses is not an options for you, we can try to adjust lighting to minimize glare.
  • The appearance of the eye itself is different when seen through lenses. Back to Top
